My love for teaching makeup started long before Dee Gilmore Beauty was born. In high school when I found myself teaching friends how to blend eyeshadow.

Then in 2012, I became a DIY bride. I wanted to look like the best version of myself on my wedding day, but I struggled to find a makeup artist whom I trusted to bring my vision to life. SO I learned to do it myself.

The experience stayed with me.

After more than 15 years in beauty and eduction, I still believe one of the best things I can give a woman isn't just a beautiful makeup application, it's the confidence to create one for herself.

Today, I teach women how to understand what works for their skin, their features, and their real life.

Because when you know how to enhance your own beauty, you never have to depend on someone else to do it for you.

Should I Bring My Own Makeup?

Yes! In fact, I encourage you to bring the makeup you already own. During the makeup lesson, we will audit your makeup together to ensure you are using the products that are right for your skin and style.

Don't worry if you don't have everything you need. I"ll also incorporate products from my professional makeup kit when needed and I will help you identify any products you may want to add you your routine.

I Have No Makeup Experience, Are the Lessons for Beginners?

Absolutely! Every lesson is customized to your experience, needs, and beauty goals. You don't need to know anything about makeup application or products before we begin.

We will start where you are, work at your pace so you understand what works for you, and so you feel confident doing it on your own.

No experience necessary, just come ready to learn how to be your own makeup artist.

Should I Book and In-Person or Virtual Makeup Lesson?

Both options are designed to help you feel more confident doing your makeup,

Choose an in-person lesson if you want hands-on guidance, and the option to try products from my professional kit as well as your as you learn to put together an everyday look, a special occasion look or to take your makeup skill to the next level.

Choose a virtual lesson if you prefer to learn from the comfort of your own home. We will work with the products you already own, and I will guide you through the routine step-by-step while answering your questions along the way.
